Different solutions within mechanical recycling up to chemical recycling in extrusion or injection molding technique belong to his area of response. He studied mechanical engineering at the TU Munich and was working as a development engineer for medical plastic disposables in his first job.

He has been working in the industrial segment for over 20 years, with 8 years of experience focused on the plastic transformation industry, managing several projects involving the reduction of tool change times and application of SMED concepts, formed in Control and Automation Engineering from Universidade Bandeirante de São Paulo since 2007 and a postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering from Universidade Nove de Julho.
George Kobel

During his early career, George acquired extensive experience leading projects in the gas/gasoline and steel industry. Prior to joining IMD, he led projects in Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Guatemala.
In 2016, George joined IMD Ltd. as sales manager for South America, including strategic sales activities aimed at achieving the strong growing ambitions in this nearby market.
In 2019, IMD opened a unit in São Paulo (IMD LATAM) to serve Latin America. George was promoted to head of site at IMD LATAM.

Klaus Fellner
In-house consultant for circular economy & recycling
Klaus Fellner was born in Steyr, Austria. He holds a BSc and MSc Degree in Polymer Engineering and Science from the University of Leoben, Austria. He also received a PhD in Computational Mechanics and Materials Testing.
He had been working at the research center Polymer Competence Center Leoben for four years, in 2016 he joined ENGEL. He started as an assistant to the CEO (Dr. Engleder), later transferred to the development area for plasticizing & recycling. This year he took over the position of an in-house consultant for circular economy & recycling, within the same area.

Laura is graduated in Chemical Engineer at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), having initiated her career in the petrochemical industry in the year of 2003. She has an specialization in production engineer and an MBA in business administration and strategy at FGV. Along her career she assumed different roles in polymers as product development, technical services, market development and sales. After some years working in the solvent market, her current position at ExxonMobil is customer and application development for South America, focusing on polypropylene and high performance polymers.

He has been working as an economic advisor for the plastics industry for over a decade, responsible for publishing the "PROFILE OF THE BRAZILIAN MANUFACTURING PLASTIC INDUSTRY" and for managing data on the plastics transformation and recycling sector at ABIPLAST and SINDIPLAST.

I am currently responsible for application development in Brazil and Pacific Coast by Exxon Mobil, focusing on polypropylene and high performance polymers.

Then, from 2004 to 2007, he began his studies in Business Administration at the University of Hagen. Also in 2004, Dr. Reinhard Schiffers became a member of the research team at the University of Duisburg-Essen in “Engineering Projects and Machinery for Plastics Production”, where he finished in 2008. He then worked from 2009 to 2012 at KraussMaffei Group as a Project Manager at the R&D Department. In 2012, he became Head of the Machine Technology Department at KraussMaffei, he held this position until 2017. Since 2017, Dr. -Ing, Reinhard Schiffers is the Head of “Engineering Design and Machinery for Plastics Production” at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
